Lady Elizabeth School opened its doors on 14th September 1987 in Jávea, founded by Veronica Barnes with just 14 students.
Students began accessing British education when our school was authorised to deliver it from Nursery to A Level. The school also introduced an established choir and became and an official LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) exam centre.
LAUDE acquired Lady Elizabeth School, introducing students to a new uniform design, an expanded subject offering and a vibrant international community.
Primary students moved to a new, purpose-built campus in Cumbre del Sol, with excellent facilities including a swimming pool, gym, playgrounds and stunning sea views.
Students' experiences and personal growth were further enhanced when our offering expanded with a new boarding house, exciting programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Model United Nations and more performances and charity events.
Student started to access a wealth of international experiences, knowledge and methods when LES joined International Schools Partnerships - ISP
Secondary students joined Primary students at the new campus in Cumbre del Sol. Every year, our International School in Alicante celebrates this anniversary, reflecting on our legacy and continuous innovations to provide exceptional learning daily, fostering confident lifelong learners.
