This year’s achievements continue the school’s three-year upward trend in academic performance and reflect the hard work, determination and progress of students, alongside the dedication and support of staff and families. Outstanding IGCSE results 83% of all IGCSE entries achieved Grades 4–9, while an impressive 44.8% achieved Grades 7–9, with 16.9% of all grades awarded at Grade 9. The school is also delighted to celebrate outstanding and record-breaking IGCSE results from its English Department. Years 10 and 11 achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate in IGCSE English Literature, with more than half of students achieving Grades 7–9. In English Language, 62% of students achieved Grades 7–9, while EAL (English as a Second Language) students achieved a 100% pass rate. Strong A Level results across 29 subjects LES is equally proud of the results achieved by its 2026 A Level cohort. 30% of grades achieved were A*–A, compared with an international average of 28%, while 77% achieved A*–C, compared with an international average of 74%. The results demonstrate the breadth of the school’s A Level offer, with students able to choose from 29 subjects across sciences, humanities, languages, arts and creative disciplines. Subject highlights include 100% A*–A grades in German and Chinese, 87% in Russian, 50% in Drama and 48% in Spanish. History, French, Economics and Graphic Communication also achieved A*–A results above the international benchmark. There are also numerous examples of individual achievement. Mykyta M. studied five subjects, achieving two As and one A, while Mariia S. achieved two As and an A and Stefaniia R. achieved two A*s and an A. Other students, including Maria P., Alberto M., Marta S. and Sofya S., achieved excellent results across subjects including Business, Chemistry, Physics, French, Media Studies, History, Economics and Spanish. Opening pathways for the future These results reflect the strength of Lady Elizabeth School’s international education, with a broad range of subjects and opportunities designed to support students with different interests, strengths and ambitions. As part of an international community where around 80% of students speak English as their second or third language, LES prepares students to pursue opportunities both locally and around the world, with this year’s graduates progressing to universities in Spain, the UK, the Netherlands and Japan. The school is proud to help students build individual pathways for the future and wishes the entire Class of 2026 every success in the next stage of their journey.
