Preparing for the Future Starts Early: Lady Elizabeth School Hosts University Fair for Students

06-10-2026

From Spain and the UK to Japan and the USA, Lady Elizabeth Students are building a global outlook, with university guidance beginning well before the final years of school.

For students, choosing a university is one of the first major decisions that can shape their future. At Lady Elizabeth School (LES), that process does not begin when students are preparing their final applications. It starts much earlier, with conversations, exploration and opportunities to discover what inspires them.

This month, LES is bringing universities directly onto campus for its Spanish University Fair, giving students and parents the opportunity to meet university representatives, ask questions and begin thinking about their future beyond school.

For LES, the fair is part of a much broader approach to university preparation: helping students understand their options, discover their strengths and interests, and develop the confidence to make informed choices about their next steps.

The University Fair is open to students and parents beyond the LES community too. If you are considering your child’s future university options and would like to attend, we would be delighted to welcome you. Starting the conversation early

University decisions can feel like a long way off for younger students, but early conversations can help them understand the connection between what they enjoy today, the subjects they choose and the opportunities available to them in the future.

At LES, students are encouraged to explore these questions progressively rather than waiting until the final years of school. University counselling, individual coaching, workshops and university events give students multiple opportunities to ask questions, investigate different pathways and start developing a picture of what their future could look like.

The school also uses Unifrog, a digital platform that puts students at the centre of the process. Through the platform, students can complete assessments to explore their interests and strengths and access university information and content aligned with their individual profiles and areas of interest.

The aim is not simply to help students choose a university, but to help them understand themselves, explore possibilities and make informed decisions about their future.

Bringing the world of universities to LES

The on-campus Spanish University Fair is one of two university fairs organised at LES each year, alongside the school's ongoing programme of university counselling, workshops and coaching.

These opportunities allow students to speak directly with university representatives and discover the breadth of pathways available to them, from Spain and the UK to destinations further afield.

This international perspective reflects the increasingly global outlook of LES students and graduates.

Global destinations, diverse futures

The university destinations of LES graduates demonstrate the breadth of opportunities they pursue after school. In 2025, 55% of graduates chose universities in Spain, 19% in the UK and 13% in the Netherlands, while following a diverse range of academic interests, from Molecular Genetics and Business at King's College London and Biomedical Sciences in Madrid to Business & Artificial Intelligence at ESADE, Neuroscience at Rowan University and Media Communications in Rotterdam.

The 2026 destinations continue to reflect this international outlook. Students have secured places at institutions including Imperial College London, Warwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, King's College London and Bath, alongside leading universities in Spain such as IE Universidad, ICADE, Universidad Carlos III, Universidad de Sevilla and Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

The school's university destinations are also expanding geographically. This year, two LES students are heading to Japan, including Tokyo International University and Yamanashi, while one student has secured a sports scholarship to Alfred University in New York State, USA.

These destinations reflect not one single pathway, but the individuality of LES students: their interests, ambitions and choices are as diverse as the universities and courses they go on to pursue.
