A school that grows confidence and character

Education at LES is about more than grades. We focus on life competencies that help our students become responsible, confident and emotionally intelligent individuals.

We teach children how to learn, how to lead and how to relate to others. Values like resilience, empathy, curiosity and respect are woven into everything we do.

In our school, students are encouraged to try new things, to fail without fear and to keep growing. These are skills that last a lifetime.

Multilingual learning from Early Years to Sixth Form

Language learning begins early and continues all the way through school life. English is the main language of instruction, but our students also become fluent in Spanish.

From Year 7, students choose between French and German. By Sixth Form, they can take A Levels in multiple languages. Other options like Dutch, Chinese and Russian are available through clubs and language support.

Whether your child is learning English as an additional language or is already multilingual, our programmes adapt to their level and help them develop real-world communication skills.

Boarding that feels like home

Our boarding school is more than just accommodation. It’s a warm, supportive environment that gives students aged 13 and over the chance to live and learn within a structured yet friendly setting.

Boarding life includes:

  • Academic support every evening
  • Social activities and weekend trips
  • A daily routine that balances study and rest
  • High standards of safety and pastoral care

Students build independence, make lifelong friendships and learn how to manage their time and wellbeing — all while feeling part of a family away from home.

Pastoral support that truly cares

At LES, every child is known. Our pastoral team works closely with parents, teachers and counsellors to support students in all aspects of their personal development.

Support services include:

  • Counselling for emotional and social wellbeing
  • Behaviour and motivation plans when needed
  • Mediation and conflict resolution
  • Additional Educational Needs (AEN) support
  • Personalised mentoring for academic recovery

Whether a child is struggling with friendships, feeling anxious or just needs someone to talk to, we are here for them.

Over 50 clubs and international opportunities

School life should be exciting. At LES, we offer more than 50 extracurricular activities that include sports, performing arts, leadership groups, and global learning experiences.

Some highlights include:

  • Football, swimming, basketball, hockey and karate
  • LAMDA drama and public speaking
  • Film-making, music lessons and showstoppers club
  • Model United Nations, Duke of Edinburgh and ISP cultural exchanges

Students don’t just take part. They lead, create, perform and grow. They learn how to work in teams, present ideas and find their voice.

A campus designed for discovery

Located in Cumbre del Sol, our school has everything students need to thrive — modern classrooms, science labs, art studios, sports courts and incredible views of the sea.

We’re currently expanding with a brand new Sixth Form building opening in 2026, offering even more dedicated space for study, collaboration and innovation.

Our story, our values

Lady Elizabeth School began in 1987 with just 14 students. Since then, we’ve grown into one of Spain’s most respected international schools, with recognition from Forbes, El Mundo and El Español.

Throughout our journey, our core values have remained the same:

  • Resilience in learning and life
  • Teamwork and cooperation
  • Empathy and respect for others
  • Curiosity to explore and question
  • Responsibility for actions and outcomes
  • These values aren’t just words. They shape our culture and guide every decision we make.
